JMYA activities
- Participates in IRSA activities and plays a role as IRSA DNM.
- It functions as a class association for international classes and domestic classes operating within the country.
- Responsible for managing and publicizing races for each class in Japan, and coordinating race schedules.
- Arrange and provide support for the personnel (management officers, volunteers) and equipment necessary for race management.
- Certification (cancellation) of international and domestic classes suitable for racing. (hereinafter referred to as certified class)
- Certify (cancel) the class association that has applied for membership. (hereinafter referred to as the Certified Class Association)
- Create and revise class rules, measurement documents, and related documents for certified classes without a class association.
- We perform registration, measurement certification, and race management for certified class boats that do not have a class association.
- For certified classes that have a certified class association, races will be co-sponsored by the class association.
- Translate and publish international race-related rules, international class rules, and their related documents.
- Support representative members participating in international regattas and publish race information.
- Receive all appeals filed under the Sailing Rules or Class Rules.
- We will train race managers, referees, and timers.
- Publish useful international and national information about radio sailing.
- We strive to research and develop radio-controlled yachts, and to develop, introduce, and popularize new standard boats.
- In addition, we will carry out necessary projects to popularize radio-controlled yachts.

How to become a member
Those who wish to become a member will become members by submitting a membership application to the headquarters through each branch and paying the admission fee and annual membership fee. Please contact the branch you wish to join for details on how to join.
The joining fee is 1,500 yen, and the annual headquarters fee is 3,000 yen per year starting January 1st of the year.
When you join, you will be given a membership number, and once you become a boat owner, you will be able to participate in competitions sponsored by JMYA by registering your boat, receiving a sail number, and having your boat measured. It also opens the door to participation in international competitions.
