Introduction to JMYA

There are two pleasures in model yachts: “building a boat (modeler)” and “competing in a competition (competitor).” The Japan Model Yachting Association (JMYA) is registered as a boat type organization with the Japan Sailing Federation (JSAF), and holds competitions and study sessions to promote friendship among members and improve their skills. Our aim is to popularize piloted model yachts (radio-controlled yachts). JMYA is also registered as a national organization (DNM) in Japan of the International Radio Sailing Association (IRSA), which is managed by the International Sailing Federation (World Sailing).
