2005 Snipe Worlds CHARTER BOAT Rules & Procedure
>>Charter boat requests shall be made in an entry form that will be submitted by National Secretary of each country. Due date for both entry and charter boat requests is June 23, 2005.
>>If a competitor declines by June 23, the organizing committee will reimburse charter fee and insurance fee, but a commission will be deducted. The competitor shall not be able to request a charter boat again.
>>The SCIRA Executive Director will draw lots to assign a boat to each team on a first come first serve basis.
>>There are 50 charter boats prepared in total for competitors from abroad and the organizing committee will stop accepting the charter boat requests as soon as all the boats have been chartered.
>>Kyushu Island is quite far from Gamagori and requires higher transportation cost than carrying from other areas. There might be more brand new charter boats available for this championship. In that case, the organizing committee will switch to a boat with ones from Kyushu Island (No.41-44) by draw.
However, if applications are less than 50 by the due date, the organizing committee will choose boats that have been launched more recently from the remaining boats and draw lots again to assign new boats for those who have been assigned boats from Kyushu Island. A result has to be accepted in any case.
>>If some boats still remains after re-assigning Kyushu Island boats, the committee will re-draw lots in order to assign better condition boats from remaining boats for those who were assigned older 8 boats, that are 31, 39, 10, 16, 8, 35, 36, 34 in this order.
If the remaining boats are less than 8 boats, the boat with older number takes the priority for a re-draw. A result has to be accepted in any case.
>>Exchanging of a boat between contestants shall not be granted.
>>If for some reason an owner is unable to lend a boat, the organizing committee will guarantee to assign an equivalent boat.

Following is a procedure for chartering a boat:
1) Each National Secretary shall submit entry forms to the organizing committee.
2) Once entry form and fee are received, the organizing committee will send the NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION to National Secretary as well as the team. Charter boat information will be written in the same document for those who requested charter boats on an entry form.
At the same time, a result of drawing will be updated on a charter boat list on the regatta website.
3) Within 10 days after receiving a confirmation notice, each competitor shall download a CHARTER BOAT AGREEMENT and send the signed agreement by fax to the organizing committee. Payment shall be made through a bank transfer. (Each team needs to use skipperfs name for the payment) Bank commission shall be borne by each team. If a payment could not be confirmed by the specific date, this reservation becomes invalid and the competitor shall not be able to request a charter boat again.
